Memories are a funny thing. They are created randomly, out of blue. You are never sure, what event may create a long-lasting memory. After my near completion of a year at my college, the only thing that reminds me that I seriously passed this whole year is my faded, rough memories. We run for the money, that may buy us happiness, we run for happiness for that may give us contentment with our lives, we run after contentment for that may a give a peaceful outlook for our life. We run, and we don't realize that by running so hard we are ruining what is already at stake, our time. Our time that is precious, that is passing every moment. We don't realize that this instant, this particular instant, of you reading this, will never occur. Once past, its gone for good. It will be like it never existed, until...
Until you create a memory out of it. Memories are the only thing that gives meaning to a life.
Ever felt the pain of a person, who loses his memories? No, you won't feel it. Memories are not just a recollection of past. It is your life, it is your personality, it determines who you are. An embryo starts to create memories and then memories create a human. We, as humans, forget the importance of memories. We tend to believe that by working senselessly at this moment, we can ensure a happy future. We don't realize that we are a cat chasing its own tail. It always with us, yet we run after it and can never catch it. Realising that you are happy with what you do is probably the best realization that you may get in this life.
Memories are important. Memories make me work harder, to create more memories, to create better memories. They give me a chance to run faster, to be more, to be better. Every time an opportunity knocks my door, I remember the last memory when I did not take it and it makes me grab this one. It serves as imagination to paint my future with. Memories, my friends, are important.
